Education

Moses Lake, Washington

My education has been the backbone of what I do every day at Group 14 Technologies – from the basics at Big Bend to business at WSU, and then the hands-on maritime stuff from MAMA. It's all practical, and it ties right into being a dad, my faith at Grace Harvest Church, and giving back here in Moses Lake.

Educational Milestones

Year Credential/Degree Institution Key Skills & Insights
2010–2013 Associate of Arts and Sciences Big Bend Community College, Moses Lake, WA Transfer degree that covered all the gen ed – math, science, writing. Stayed local, built a solid base, and made the jump to WSU way easier.
2013–2016 Bachelor of Arts in Business Management & Operations Washington State University, Pullman, WA Operations, supply chain, leading teams. Hands-on projects that felt real-world. The ethical leadership part still lines up with my values from Grace Harvest Church.
2020–2021 U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (QMED) – Electrician & Refrigerating Engineer Mid-Atlantic Maritime Academy, Virginia Beach, VA Marine engineering, electrical systems, refrigeration, safety. Intense practical training – teamwork and discipline under pressure. Still use that mindset every day at work.

How Education Shapes My Life

Education's more than the degrees you end up with – it's the stuff that sticks with you. Big Bend got me started close to home, WSU gave me the business side for running things efficiently, and MAMA added the real technical grit for fixing problems when it matters. All of it comes together to help me do my job at Group 14, mentor kids in the community, and be the kind of dad I want to be here in Moses Lake. Faith keeps it all in perspective.
