jasondavidnewton.com Got Picked Up by Digital Journal and Patch Moses Lake

Back to Blog

Kind of a cool thing happened this week. I put out a press release about the blog launch and it got picked up by Digital Journal, Patch Moses Lake, and a couple other outlets. I'm not going to pretend that's some massive media moment, but for a mechanical technician in Moses Lake writing about faith and fatherhood, it's pretty cool to see your name in print somewhere other than your own site.

The headline was "JasonDavidNewton.com Launches New Blog on Faith, Fatherhood, and Pacific Northwest Life" and it ran on Digital Journal through PRUnderground on March 24, 2026. Patch Moses Lake also picked it up as a community announcement and added me to their local business directory, which honestly felt fitting. Moses Lake is the whole point of most of what I write about. Getting recognized as part of the local community online is kind of the goal.

The quote I gave in the press release was something I actually meant:

"Moses Lake gets a bad rap sometimes from people who have never been here or only passed through on I-90. I want to show what this community actually looks like from the inside. The people who show up for their kids, the faith that keeps families grounded, and the honest hard working life that most people in small towns are actually living."

That's still exactly what this is about. I started writing here because I couldn't find many voices online that sounded like mine. Not tech influencers, not pastoral content from guys in suits, not perfectly curated outdoor brand content. Just a regular working dad in a small town trying to do right by his kid and his faith and his community. If that sounds like you, this is the place.

You can read the full Digital Journal coverage and the Patch announcements over on the In the News section of the homepage. More press and coverage will get added there as it comes in.

Thanks for reading. If you found the site through one of those articles, welcome. Stick around.
